NHS Blackpool is responsible for funding healthcare for all patients registered with a Blackpool GP. Providing key community services including health visiting, district nursing, dentistry, sexual health and family planning, Connect for young people, mental health services for both children and adults and the Walk-In Centre in Blackpool.

NHS Blackpool works closely with Blackpool Council to tackle many of the health issues faced by the town. It also supports the work of GPs, dentists, pharmacists and opticians and plans and buys services from hospitals such as Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

The intelligent PowerStudio™ software identifies daily, monthly and annual trends of computer power usage on all XP embedded thin client devices and PCs, and helps set policies in accordance with user activity. For example, a policy can be created to automatically switch off monitors and place PCs into standby or hibernation when computers are idle, enabling energy savings of up to £48 and 642 kWh per PC per annum to be achieved.
