Flagship NHS Trust chooses PowerStudio to reduce their carbon footprint
11 October 2010

Homerton University Hospital NHS Trust provides general hospital services to Hackney and the City of London and specialist care in obstetrics, neonatology, fetal medicing, laparascopic surgery and neurorehabilitation across east London and beyond.
Certero's intelligent PowerStudio software enables the Trust to identify daily, monthly and annual trends of computer power across the organisation, and helps set desktop policies in accordance with user activity. For example, a policy can be created to automatically switch off monitors and place PCs onto standby or hibernation when computers are idle, enabling energy savings of up to £48 and 642 kWh per PC per annum to be achieved.
Homerton was one of the original Trusts to gain Foundation Trust status. There are now 115 Foundation Trusts which are widely considered to be the flagships of NHS patient care, delivering some of the best patient care in the country. John Lunt, Certero Managing Director explains, “We’ve specifically
designed PowerStudio™ to help NHS organisations address their challenging
carbon reductions targets as simply as possible allowing then to focus on their
core priorities, providing world class health care.”
