Liverpool PCT NHS joins list of NHS organisations using Certero AssetStudio™

Liverpool Primary Care Trust is the latest NHS organisation to adopt Certero’s AssetStudio™ ITAM solution to help drive improved SAM best of breed practices and IT Asset Management.
Liverpool PCT NHS has taken advantage of a secured procurement agreement that has been put in place between North Mersey HIS NHS and Certero. This agreement means that NHS organisations under the North Mersey HIS NHS banner can purchase AssetStudio™ at a predefined agreed price taking advantage of volume purchasing that couldn’t be realised if purchases had been made as individual NHS organisations.
Liverpool Primary Care Trust came into existence on 1st October 2006. The new organisation will build upon the work of the three former Liverpool Primary Care Trusts. The creation of the new organisation with a new role provides a huge opportunity to further improve and modernise services, enabling greater integration of local health and social care services and enabling the provision of more care closer to people’s homes rather than in hospitals. A single organisation will also strengthen their commissioning capacity and enable them to be truly responsive to the needs of patients. The PCT is a big organisation with a budget of over £800 million, employing over 3,200 staff.
