NHS Wiltshire Chooses Certero AssetStudio™ and Software Metering for Decision Makers™
25 March 2009
NHS Wiltshire was formed on 1st October 2006 by the merger of its three predecessor organisations (Kennet & North Wiltshire, South Wiltshire and West Wiltshire PCTs). The main function of the PCT is to improve health and well-being through commissioning (planning and paying for) comprehensive and equitable services to meet the needs of the population of Wiltshire. The Primary Care Trust is responsible for assessing the health needs of local people and buying the health services to meet those needs through local NHS trusts, the voluntary sector and other providers.
NHS Wiltshire purchased AssetStudio™ and Software Metering for Decision Makers™ for use across their entire estate. This has enabled them to continue to realise their strategy in transforming ICT to better serve the organisation and at the same time drive efficiencies that will reduce costs and improve services.
Catherine Orton, Head of IT said "NHS Wiltshire has been and continue to transform the way ICT is provisioned and the services it provides. The strategy is to improve service by adopting the best appropriate technology, processes and by having the best people. Certero's products definitely help us in this endeavour. Their products are innovative and having struggled with limited success with more well known products, it has restored our confidence in knowing that our requirements can be met."
"Certero as an organisation have impressed us as much as their products have. They have not disappointed us on any front. Service is obviously very important to them and that is important to us." she added.
Bryan Taylor, IT Manager said "We have been trying to achieve our goals for some time in Asset Management with other products. This hasn't been as successful as we would have liked. Having worked with Certero and their products, our goals are now being achieved which is good for NHS Wiltshire and the local people who use our services."
