Renfrewshire Council select PowerStudio®
19 July 2011
Certero has announced that Renfrewshire Council has selected PowerStudio 3.0® – Certero’s PC Power Management solution - to help the council achieve its PC-related cost and energy savings targets. The Council selected PowerStudio following a formal tender process, and it represents Certero’s first Scottish Council win since the company established a presence in Scotland in March this year.
With carbon and energy cost reduction targets to meet, Renfrewshire Council chose to assess the power management solutions available. After evaluating solutions on the market, it selected PowerStudio for its carbon and cost saving potential, competitive pricing, rich functionality, and the presence of local market technical support available from Certero. The council has purchased 8,000 PowerStudio licences, which will be divided between corporate licences, and education licences.
Commenting on Renfrewshire Council’s selection of PowerStudio 3.0®, John Lunt, Managing Director of Certero, said: “It is testimony to the capabilities of PowerStudio and Certero’s local market support that one of Scotland’s leading authorities has selected it to enable the council to realise its cost and energy saving goals. That this win comes so soon after Certero established a presence in Scotland, also demonstrates that Certero understands the needs of Scottish public and private sector businesses, and is well placed to work with them to achieve their energy and cost saving targets.”
