Carmarthenshire County Council chooses Certero’s PowerStudio™ to help meet their carbon reduction targets and reduce their electricity consumption.

 

Carmarthenshire County Council took full advantage of the free evaluation of PowerStudio™ offering from Certero to ensure that they were able to make a fully informed decision on which was the right PC power management solution to meet their requirements. Intelligent PowerStudio™ software demonstrated with real data the current usage and associated costs. By applying power saving policies on a subset of identified PC’s it was easy to show the potential saving that could be achieved across their PC environment. Empowered with this information it was possible to build a compelling business case that could be measured in the future to establish ROI targets were being met. The Council is a top performing council in the country with over 9,000 employees serving over 173,000 residents. Carmarthenshire, known as the garden of Wales, is located in West Wales and is formed by a series of villages and market towns, with a budget of £450m annually to provide local services. Carmarthenshire also has over 150 schools with 28,000 pupils and 35 libraries.
