City of Lincoln Council GO GREEN with Certero

City of Lincoln Council has chosen Certero’s PowerStudio™ to help cut their electricity consumption and reduce their carbon emissions in relation to their computer usage.

Certero has been working with the City of Lincoln Council to successfully installed PowerStudio™ to help take then toward their target of continued commitment to reducing carbon footprint.   PowerStudio™ will help reduce carbon footprint and electricity consumption by ensuring that PC’s are not using electricity when not needed. This is achieved by applying intelligent power management policies for the PCs from a centrally managed facility, thus ensuring that maximum efficiencies are being made.

Employing around 800 members of staff the Council offer a full range of services to a population of over 88,000 local people.  The Council prides itself on taking a lead in pursuing the green agenda saving money, energy and reducing its carbon foot print in every way it can, whilst maintaining the standard of service to its customers.

John Lunt, Managing Director and Co-founder of Certero, says; “We are pleased that the city of Lincoln Council has joined a growing list of local government organisations who are taking advantage of Certero’s PowerStudio™.  PowerStudio™ is now helping them to maximise their IT investment and save tax payers’ money and move closer to their carbon reduction targets.  We know from experience that the payback is probably better than most projects, regardless of being green, PowerStudio™ ROI is in the region of months rather than years so it obviously makes commercial sense as well as helping the environment.”
